Manage invoice templates

With invoice templates, you specify how your invoices should look.

You can find your invoice templates via ⚙️ in the upper right corner and on the Invoice Templates page.

Add a new template

  • To add a new template, click on + Add, fill in the fields, and select Save.

Edit existing template

Use the pencil on the right to edit an existing template.

  • Priority: general templates should have the lowest priority, while templates with filters should have the highest (number 1 is the highest priority).
  • Name: give your template a clear name so it is easy to understand what it covers.
  • Date range as first line: check the box if you want billing intervals to be displayed on your invoices.
  • Remove blank lines: check the box if you want to hide spaces between invoice lines. This makes your invoices more compact.
  • With the group by feature, you specify which information the invoice lines should be grouped by and in what order they should be displayed.
  • User: groups invoice lines by user.
  • Week: groups invoice lines by week (e.g., format: 2022 Week 21).
  • Time interval: groups invoice lines by start and end time according to data provided in your employees' time reports (e.g., format: 12:00–14:00). The time interval is displayed on its own line.
  • Time interval (same line): groups invoice lines by start and end time according to data provided in your employees' time reports (e.g., format: 12:00–14:00). The time interval is displayed on the same line as the invoice item.
  • Date: groups invoice lines by date (e.g., format: Monday 23/5 w21 2022). The date is displayed on its own line.
  • Date (same line): groups invoice lines by date (e.g., format: Monday 23/5 w21 2022). The date is displayed on the same line as the invoice item.
  • Date comment (same line): groups invoice lines by comments in the Date comment field.
  • By using + Add registry selection, you can create filters that limit your invoice templates to a specific customer, order, or project.
